How Much Does a Trip to Casablanca Cost?

Casablanca is more expensive than the rest of Morocco, but still affordable for European travelers. Here are the indicative prices we see, to be adjusted by season.

Accommodation

This is the biggest expense. An entire apartment is often cheaper than a hotel room of the same standard, especially for a group. Prices vary with the neighborhood, the season and the length of stay: our long-stay discounts reach -20% for a month.

Meals

| Meal | Indicative price | | --- | --- | | Coffee or tea on a terrace | 10 to 25 dirhams | | Sandwich or snack | 30 to 60 dirhams | | Meal in a simple restaurant | 70 to 150 dirhams | | Dinner in a good restaurant | 250 to 500 dirhams |

With a fully equipped kitchen, shopping at the market or supermarket cuts the bill a lot.

Transport

  • Petit taxi in town: 10 to 30 dirhams per ride
  • Tram: about 8 dirhams per ride
  • Airport train to downtown: about 50 dirhams

Sights and outings

  • Hassan II Mosque: about 130 to 150 dirhams
  • Museums and galleries: often free to 50 dirhams
  • Drink on a rooftop: 60 to 150 dirhams

Sample budgets (excluding accommodation, per person)

  • Budget weekend: 400 to 600 dirhams per day
  • Comfortable stay: 700 to 1,200 dirhams per day
